George Clooney will host a 150-person, $40,000-a-head fundraiser at his home in support of President Obama's reelection campaign, ET reports.
"I'm proud to do whatever I can to support the President," Clooney said. "As long as no one asks me to sing."
According to ET, the event will take place at Clooney's Los Angeles residence, with proceeds going to the Obama Victory Fund, a committee which raises funds for Obama for America, the Democratic National Committee and state Democratic Parties. If it sells out -- and that's not much of an "if" -- the night could rack up approximately $6 million.
Clooney is, of course, no stranger to political organizing and activism. On March 16, the actor and several congressman were arrested outside of the Sudanese Embassy in Washington D.C. The publicity stunt was intended to draw attention to the widespread human rights abuses of the Sudanese government. Clooney said he hoped his arrest would pressure the country's president into allowing humanitarian aid into beleaguered regions of the nation.
The day before his arrest, Clooney stopped by the White House to pressure Obama on the Sudan crisis.
