Sanuk was started by surfers in southern California in the late '90s who were looking for footwear that reflected their lighthearted way of life. Founder Jeff Kelley was disappointed to see little selection in a category of footwear that had become his main shoe staple: the flip flop. Jeff had always been interested in footwear and with a little help from a few friends Sanuk was born. Years later, the Sanuk brand still delivers out of the ordinary, quality product to surf and specialty shops every season and has helped bring the flip-flop category from a summer only item to something worn all year.

Arch grommets provide cool ventilation, while elastic goring makes kicking them on and off even easier. A unique feature of this Sanuk slip on shoe is a rubberized EVA sandal bottom that allows your foot to bend and flex while you walk, which naturally strengthens your feet and enhances performance whether you're into surfing, skating, or climbing. This is the best thing a hippy has ever made. Unmatched comfort, your feet do not sweat, they dry fast, and are not a flip-flop. I'll never buy flip-flops or boat shoes again.

I normally wear a size 15, bought the 15's and had to return them for 16's which fit just fine. So I suggest a half to a full size up when purchasing.

Pros:

- Extremely Comfortable (as comfortable as sandals or flip flops)
- Hides your gnarly toes
- Very light
- More stylish than "boat shoes"
- Many sizes available

Cons:

- Feet tend to sweat in them. I have not noticed any significant odor (yet)
- Sizes seem a bit small to regular shoes

Originally I got these shoes as an alternative to sandals for summer. They look great with jeans, shorts, even casual work wear if you can get away with it. With a bit thicker sock, they're great for slightly cooler weather. Fairly accurate sizing, but will fit best by adding 1/2 size (my foot is a 10 1/2, so 11s fit perfect). No complaints, torn seams, etc, so when it comes time to replace them, I'll likely get another pair.
